Lopphavet Marine Verneområdet, Arctic Lux and Rissa Citizen Science are partnering for this outreach, and kelp forest restoration project. Accomodation (and dinner on Saturday) are offered to all the volunteers.

About the event
In October 2025, we started restoring kelp forest in Øksfjord.

We are returning to Øksfjord at a critical time, as kelp starts growing back.
Free accomodation for Friday and Saturday night, and dinner on Saturday are offered to the volunteers.
Rissa Citizen Science does not provide snorkeling/diving equipment. Unless you have your own equipment, we recommend that you become a member of SUT to have access to the equipment you need to snorkel or scubadive. Get in touch with us if you have questions.
