Owl nestboxes: spring check!

You don't have snowshoes? Don't worry, we can lend you a pair!

Just be aware that the terrain is quite steep in one or two places, and we're going off the beaten paths.

We will meet near Fløyvegen at 4pm. We might not need 3 hours; 2 might be enough, depending on how quick we snowshoe, and what we find in the nestboxes.

If the weather is bad (rain), we might cancel, but if you have signed up, we will let you know in the morning.

Tengmalm owls and Hawk owls are most likely to use these nestboxes. But we never know what we can find! Squirrels, goldeneye, passerines, marten etc. they all look for cavities in trees, and these are extremely rare in nature, considering that trees are logged before they get old and large. See you!
