About the event
Arktis Vern Bukta aims to highlight the challenges associated with sea urchins, exploring solutions, and focusing on kelp forest restoration. Arktis Vern Bukta aims to raise awareness and understanding among the local population of the importance of kelp restoration and marine ecosystems. Arktis Vern Bukta will bring together scientists, businesses, volunteers, and sea urchin- and kelp enthusiasts for a social and educational family day in beautiful outdoor surroundings. The event will feature various stands and interactive activities. This project is made possible through financial support from the Regional Research Fund (RFF).
Rissa citizen Science will be there to talk about our grassroots initiatives aiming at restoring kelp forests around Tromsø and beyond.
