Om arrangementet

This event is part of the Øksfjord Kelp Forest – Creating Blue Communities project. A collaboration between Lopphavet Marine Protected Area, Rissa Citizen Science and artist Emma Gunnarsson/Arctic Lux, and supported by Sparebankstiftelsen.

Join us for a screening of Ismaele Tortella’s latest work: “Stone Biter: Saving the Arctic Sea Forests”, a short documentary that dives beneath the surface of the North Norwegian Sea to uncover the silent collapse of Arctic kelp forests, and the people working to restore them.

Ismaele Tortella is a director, underwater cameraman, drone pilot specializing in nature documentaries and is based in Tromsø in Northern Norway.

After the film, Lopphavet Marine Protected Area manager Anita Holmgren and Rissa Citizen Science Director Delphin Ruché will join us to talk about the restoration project in Øksfjord.
