Owl nestboxes: spring check with Birdlife Ung Tromsø

It is time to check the inside of the nestboxes!

We are opening six slots, five of which are reserved for members of BirdLife Ung Tromsø to encourage youth engagement in nature conservation.

Tengmalm and hawk owls are most likely to use these nestboxes. But we never know what we can find! Squirrels, goldeneye, passerines, marten etc. they all look for cavities in trees, and these are extremely rare in nature, considering that trees are logged before they get old and large.

Be aware that the terrain is quite steep in one or two places, and we're going off the beaten paths.

The exact meeting point will be decided a few days before the event, but it will be somewhere onTursitvegen.

If the weather is bad (rain), we might cancel. If you have signed up, we will let you know the day before.
