Owl nestboxes: second spring check!

Join this 2-hour trip in Tromsdalen to check if owls are using our nestboxes. This is part of a wide-scale owl monitoring program that includes over 500 nestboxes in Troms.

Om arrangementet
We might need snowshoes.
Don't worry if you don't have snowshoes, we can lend you a pair. Just let us know in advance and we'll bring one for you.
Just be aware that the terrain is quite steep in one or two places, and we're going off the beaten paths.
We will meet near Fløyvegen at 4pm.
Tengmalm owls and Hawk owls are most likely to use these nestboxes. But we never know what we can find! Squirrels, passerines, marten etc. they all look for cavities in trees, and these are extremely rare in nature, considering that trees are logged before they get old and large. See you!
