Join this evening trip to Kvaløya to map and remove campfires, as part of the Traceless Northern Lights Tourism research project.

Om arrangementet
We will meet at the Police station (Stakkevollvegen 9) at 17:00.
Hop in our vehicle, relax and enjoy the drive to Sommarøy.
Plan an evening snack.
We aim to be back at 21:00.
We will map dumped campfires, and restore a few campfires until it is time to go home.

Our research partner is the Norwegian Institute for Nature Research (NINA), with collaborating scientists based in Tromsø, Lillehammer, and Trondheim. We are also collaborating with the USA-based nonprofit organization Leave No Trace (LNT). This project is funded by Regionale forskningsfond (RFF).
