Join the Kelpers: restore marine forests along Sørsjetéen

Thanks to the incredible efforts of the Tromsø Kelpers, the south side of the jetty is now kelp friendly (over 10,500 were removed in February). Today, we’re keeping up the momentum by maintaining low urchin density on the south side and pushing our restoration efforts to the jetty's end.

In addition to the restoration efforts, we will take the time to explore the long side, and document the return of new seaweed, and the development of one-year old kelp. Last time, Vegard saw what was probably a young wolffish. We will look for it, and seek other creatures that are attracted by the reef.
