2-hour kittiwalk in Tromsø city center

This event promotes a more regenerative approach to tourism in Tromsø by inviting travelers to take part in hands-on nature conservation efforts.

Together, we will document the kittiwakes in tromsø city center, keep a watch on illegal nest destructions and reflect on what it means to coexist with nature in an urban environment.

For two hours, we will use a mobile app to record the kittiwakes and identify individuals marked with a plastic ring. We will finish the walk at the kittiwake hotels, artistic structures designed to lure kittiwakes away from buildings to reduce perceived nuisance and facilitate coexistence.
